Mathew Root joined the firm in 1998 and currently performs duties as the Principal-in-Charge on multiple projects throughout the United States. He manages and directs project teams on design, production, and construction administration of prototype rollouts, as well as the firms more unique and specialized projects. He has over 20 years’ experience with an emphasis on retail construction projects. Mr. Root has a strong knowledge of building systems that allows for more proficient/ efficient design and better coordination of disciplines during the design and construction process.

He also works with municipalities to adapt prototypes to meet zoning, planning and design standards while maintaining the client’s corporate identity. Prior to joining MJM, Mr. Root was a project manager for a health- care focused firm where he performed design and construction administration on multi-tenant medical office buildings, outpatient surgery centers and assisted living facilities.
